Role Overview
Based in North American HQ, the Shared Services Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager, and is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager with month end reporting and variance analysis. This role also provides key support to invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable teams.

Role Overview
Based in North American HQ, the Shared Services Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager, and is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager with month end reporting and variance analysis. This role also provides key support to invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide back up to Accounts Receivable & Collections in collections, invoicing, payment application and responding to customer inquiries
- Provide back up to Accounts Payable in processing recurring payables such as utilities, telephone, etc.
- Prepare and post journal entries in the ERP system
- Update reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Review company credit card transactions and determine proper coding of expenses
- Provide support for ERP improvement projects
- Diploma, Degree or Certificate in Accounting required
- Minimum 3 years experience in a related accounting role, preferably within a shared services environment
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Previous experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) or similar ERP is required
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines
