The Territory Account Manager champions the growth and retention of our customer base within a specific geographical area, playing a critical role in partner management and acquiring new enterprise customers. The role is tasked with identifying, developing, and expanding business opportunities within a specified geographical area. This role involves strategically analyzing the territory's market potential, building and nurturing relationships with our key OEM partners and regional customers and implementing targeted sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share. Focused on both new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing customer accounts, the Territory Account Manager combines in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services with a keen understanding of local market dynamics to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of the territory.

Compensation

Total on target earnings of C$120,000 annual earnings (includes base + commissions) plus car allowance

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Territory Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of the designated territory to identify growth opportunities, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate lasting relationships with key customers and stakeholders within the territory, acting as the main point of contact for the company.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to the territory's characteristics, aimed at achieving sales targets and increasing market penetration.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and challenges, proposing customized solutions that leverage the company's offerings to address these needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to territory development and to deliver on customer expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics within the territory, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet or exceed targets.
  • Market Feedback: Gather insights on customer feedback and market dynamics to inform product development and marketing strategies, ensuring the company's offerings remain competitive and relevant.
Requirements:

Job Competencies, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Regional Market Penetration: Tailor and implement strategies that effectively address the needs and opportunities within their assigned territory.
  • Geographic Partner and Customer Relationship Management: Develop and sustain robust relationships with local customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • College degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Two plus years of proven experience in pre-sales, selling, target marketing sales, and effective customer communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to client sites in Ontario for project engagements and business sales meetings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to all company operations.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to multitask, use critical problem-solving techniques, and lead initiatives.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with others with passion, integrity, and empathy.

Preferred

  • Experience in the AIDC industry.

Environment and Normal Working Conditions

Office environment. Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, this position will require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations.

Physical Requirements

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions may include standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
