Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the summer student would receive an opportunity to get a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Cavendish Farms Accounting team.

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB and another in Jamestown, ND. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, the company also operates an appetizer plant in Wheatley, ON and has sales office locations in Toronto and Boston.

Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks
- Support in generating financial reports and summaries for review by the accounting team
- Co-ordinate with key team members to update key statistics and reports
- Data entry and other administrative duties
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to quickly adjust and adapt to change
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities
