Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Supervisor, Social Performance, you will be part of the Community Relations and Communications Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Social Performance, Compliance & Coordination

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Social Performance frameworks, including Impact Benefit Agreements (IIBAs), socio-economic agreements, and regulatory commitments.
  • Support the Social Performance Coordinator in data management related to all social studies, including permitting, closure planning, and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with external consultants to support the production of multiple annual and regulatory reports.

Data Management & Centralized Information Systems

  • Serve as the primary data source and liaison for all teams requiring socio-economic data, providing timely access to validated datasets and responding to internal and external data requests.
  • Manage centralized databases that integrate quantitative and qualitative socio-economic data ensuring data quality, accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Coordinate data collection from internal departments, contractors, and external partners, ensuring alignment with reporting requirements and timelines.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Lead data management and collection for the Socio-Economic Monitoring Report and Annual Report, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
  • Lead the preparation and write-up of the Community Relations Annual Report, working collaboratively with other internal departments.
  • Support data collection, management, and compilation for IIBA quarterly and annual reports.
  • Coordinate the annual compilation and submission of Borealis entries, ensuring data integrity and alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate survey findings and socio-economic data into regulatory, management, and public-facing reports.
  • Prepare briefing materials, summaries, external communication materials and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders as required.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field;
  • Three (3) years of experience in a community relations, social performance or compliance, preferably in a mining context;
  • Understanding of the regulatory processes, compliance, standards and operations is considered an asset;
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of work in indigenous communities;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of Power BI is considered an asset.

Your Work Schedule

  • Schedule: 5 days of work, followed by 2 days for rest; a combination of tele-working with once per quarter visits to Nunavut communities. A flexible schedule is required.
