Sales Agronomist - Biostimulants at Mac & Fulton Talent Partners
M&F Talent is representing a leading biostimulant and biological fertilizer manufacturer that is seeking a Sales Agronomist to support growth across the Leamington and Kingsville region of Southern Ontario. This role will focus on expanding product adoption with greenhouse growers, nurseries, ornamentals producers, and other high-value controlled environment agriculture operations.
The Sales Agronomist will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new grower relationships, providing technical sales support, and helping customers understand the value of biological and biostimulant solutions.

- Salary: $90K-$100K USD base salary (plus commissions)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow accounts across controlled environment agriculture, greenhouse food crops, nurseries, ornamentals, and specialty crop markets.
- Call on agricultural growers to introduce, sell, and provide technical sales support for the company’s biostimulant and biological product lines.
- Identify and acquire new grower accounts throughout the Southern Ontario territory.
- Support customer inquiries, retailer and grower meetings, greenhouse visits, field demonstrations, tours, and other sales-related activities.
- Develop and implement 1-year and 3-year business plans for existing accounts.
- Build strong relationships with growers, retailers, and distributors.
- Provide product training and education to customers and channel partners.
- Track account activity, sales opportunities, customer feedback, and market insights through regular reporting.
- Conduct market research to identify territory growth opportunities and emerging customer needs.
- Collaborate with technical, scientific, and commercial teams to support customers.
- Translate the value of highly technical products into clear, practical benefits for growers.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and contribute to regional revenue growth.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience in agriculture, horticulture, controlled environment agriculture, specialty crops, or a related field.
- Experience selling to Southern Ontario growers is strongly preferred.
- Experience selling biostimulants, biologicals, fertilizers, IPM products, soil inputs, or proprietary/non-conventional agricultural inputs is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, horticulture, plant science, agricultural business, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of controlled environment agriculture practices, including hydroponics, floriculture, vertical farming, and greenhouse production.
- Ability to provide technical sales support and communicate complex product value in a grower-focused way.
- Strong relationship-building, territory management, and account planning skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical or scientific teams is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, travel-based sales role.
