The Executive Director plays a key leadership role in building on the strong foundation BVRC has established and helping guide the organization into its next chapter.

Working closely with the Board, staff, researchers, funders, Indigenous partners, and the broader community, you will support operational excellence, strengthen partnerships, and help ensure BVRC continues to deliver meaningful research and community impact across northwest BC.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on leadership, is comfortable working in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments, and is energized by helping a mission-driven organization strengthen, adapt, and continue making a meaningful difference.

What You’ll Do

•Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the organization in alignment with BVRC’s mission and Board direction

•Lead budgeting, financial oversight, contracts, reporting, and operational planning

•Strengthen internal systems, policies, processes, and organizational effectiveness while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment

•Build trusted relationships with Board members, staff, researchers, First Nations, funders, BVRC members, and community partners

•Represent BVRC in the community and support continued partnership development across northwest BC

•Support research initiatives, partnerships, and program priorities through oversight, sound judgment, and practical leadership

• Foster a respectful, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture
