Minimum Requirements
- 10 years' experience with a minimum of 4 years in mine mobile equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, or asset lifecycle assessment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mining or Industrial Engineering. Technicians with relevant industry experience will also be considered
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Knowledge of reliability engineering tools and techniques, including root cause analysis and condition-based monitoring
- Strong analytical skills with experience using CMMS (SAP) to extract and analyze work order data
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams
- Strong focus on safety, integrity, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities
- Develop and align equipment lifecycle and maintenance strategies to optimize asset performance, longevity, and regional synergies
- Analyze asset performance data and failure trends to identify reliability issues, bad actors, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop targeted mitigation plans and actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve fleet reliability
- Lead reliability, engineering improvement, safety, and compliance projects from initiation through completion
- Ensure mobile equipment complies with regulatory, safety, and engineering standards, and maintain supporting documentation, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support asset reliability and project execution
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels
Location and other Key Details
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
