The
Graphic Designer
for Drake Hotel Properties is a senior creative contributor can balance efficiency with craft and is excited to shape and evolve a distinctive brand across multiple properties. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, can juggle multiple projects without sacrificing quality, and wants to shape our brand across our properties through visually compelling, brand-forward design.
The successful candidate brings a confident, bold, and internationally minded design sensibility, along with strong communication and organizational skills and a collaborative mindset. As a key creative partner within the Marketing team, this role encompasses a broad range of creative design responsibilities. You will maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all properties, while producing visually compelling, brand-forward assets for both digital and print channels. This includes liaising with printers and external vendors as needed and supporting a wide range of marketing and property initiatives.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and able to balance brand consistency with fresh, global visual thinking. Candidates should have 2+ years of graphic design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates strong brand work, typography, and layout. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), familiarity with production workflows, and experience applying brand guidelines across channels are required. Hospitality or property experience is an asset, and experience using AI tools to support design outputs is considered a bonus.
Responsibilites
Lead design and production for campaigns and collateral across all Drake properties including but not limited to print (menus, posters, signage), online (email marketing, digital ads and other online assets).
Working at a collaborative level with the Director of Marketing + Brand to manage daily, weekly, and long-term project deadlines for all internal requests.
Work with freelancer graphic designers and creative directors on either a production capacity or design development.
Own and manage printing budget, with an eye to production expense control and management, with a balance of using internal resources and outsourced resources to complete projects.
Act as a highly collaborative contributor and business partner, with a focus on providing timely client service.
Maintain strong, positive working relationships with internal departments and stakeholders, engaging them through the design process with brainstorming, creative briefs, options, and mock-ups to assist in achieving their desired results.
Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time.
Maintain and update image catalogue and video work.
Ensure consistent usage of Drake Style Guide.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of professional creative design and management experience.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and print / production processes is required.
Advanced HTML/CSS, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, motion graphics/animation, photography and illustration skills are an asset.
Experience with, and demonstrated knowledge of, interior design concepts, trends and leading firms.
Acute awareness of design blogs, movements and trends, both relating to graphics and interiors.
Understanding of hospitality design trends.
Excellent grasp of print and electronic graphic design principles.
Highly resourceful, both in production and inspiration.
Strong communication, proof-reading skills, and attention to detail.
College or University Diploma in Graphic Design.
The ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Takes initiative to formulate strategies, complete tasks, and improve processes.
