We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Housekeeping Clerk. As a Housekeeping Clerk your attention to detail will show the Housekeeping team that you are committed to providing luxury Guest experiences.
What you will be doing
Reporting to the Director, Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Initiate and maintain effective communication within the housekeeping department and other departments
- Ensure prompt handling of all guest requests and timely follow up
- Assign room tasks to Room Attendants as required
- Ensure timely preparation of turn down sheets
- Responsible for accurate tracking of lost and found items in the log, the tracking of all inquiries and timely shipment
- Responsible for the sign in and out of all room keys and key inventory
- Ensure the cleanliness of Housekeeping office, back room and outside back recycling area
- Supervise the supply, proper use and care of equipment, linen and cleaning supplies
- Report all maintenance deficiencies and follow through with repairs in rooms and surrounding areas
- Maintaining of room statuses at the end of the day and hourly updates of numbers and room statuses in cooperation with Supervisors throughout the day
- Responsible for the effective operation of the housekeeping department in the evening
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Following all safety and sanitation policies

Qualifications
Your experience and skills include
- Housekeeping experience required; candidates with housekeeping supervisory experience preferred
- Proven leadership ability required
- Computer knowledge of programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Property Manager, Royal Service Manager, and exceptional typing skills strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
