DarkVision, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our Team.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and stability of our Software, Hardware, and Cloud Services used by our internal team. Your primary responsibility will be to support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues that arise during day-to-day operations.
This role is on-site at our North Vancouver, BC HQ, where employees enjoy a wide array of amenities including a fully equipped gym, squash court, steam room, climbing wall, and more!
Our Team
You will work closely with our Software Quality Assurance, Data Analysis, and Operations teams to provide troubleshooting and technical support, and ensure the continuous improvement of our technologies.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to support requests, investigating and troubleshooting issues to resolution.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required.
- Contribute to product development with the engineering teams to enhance reliability and efficiency of our products and workflows.
- Document and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides for quick issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in the release management process by reviewing and testing software deployments.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates on issues and their resolutions.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for system testing to help avoid future issues.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Post secondary education in computing science, engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Experience providing technical support to a wide range of technical and non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, including command-line utilities.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting of network related issues.
- High level understanding of cloud services and cloud platforms such as AWS.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience providing technical support to both software and hardware products.
- Bachelor’s degree in computing science, engineering, IT, or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify root causes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
General Salary Range
For this role, we anticipate paying $70,000 to $90,000 of baseline compensation per year with additional compensation for after-hours support.
