Purpose
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient execution of capital projects at the Pamour Operation. This role provides field coordination and day-to-day oversight of project activities, monitors progress, ensures site readiness, and supports both contractors and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
Acting as a key liaison between the project team, operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors, the Project Coordinator plays an important role in managing interfaces, tracking execution progress, verifying construction quality, and ensuring project work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Conducting regular field inspections to ensure all project activities are executed safely and in compliance with Ontario Mining Regulations, company procedures, and project requirements.
- Coordinating daily field activities between contractors, operations, maintenance, and project stakeholders to support safe and efficient project execution.
- Monitoring field progress against project schedules, scope, and milestones, and escalating risks or delays as required.
- Verifying construction and installation activities are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Supporting project readiness activities, including access coordination, planning, and operational interfaces.
- Tracking and reporting project performance, including schedule progress, labor, equipment usage, materials, and field issues.
- Preparing daily and weekly field reports identifying progress, deficiencies, safety observations, risks, and required follow-up actions.
- Supporting change management by identifying scope changes, field conflicts, or unexpected conditions and coordinating resolution with the project team.
- Facilitating daily and weekly project coordination meetings.
- Ensuring field issues, operational impacts, hazards, and critical updates are communicated promptly to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Supporting QA/QC activities by assisting with inspections, verifications, turnover documentation, and deficiency tracking.
- Completing workplace inspections and job observations to support safe work execution and continuous improvement.
- Identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency, resource utilization, and execution strategies.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with contractors and acting as a primary day-to-day field contact for project coordination activities.
Training and Education
- Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Valid "G" driver’s license with the ability to safely operate surface light vehicles.
- 3–5 years of experience in surface mining operations, mine construction, industrial construction, or capital project execution.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, project coordination, and project execution lifecycles.
- Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams in an industrial or mining environment.
- Working knowledge of surface mining and construction regulations, and safe work practices.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience using scheduling tools and Gantt charts.
- Familiarity with mine design and drafting software such as AutoCAD/Deswik is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced field environment.
Compensation And Benefits
Competitive total compensation package including:

- Annual total compensation of CAD123,432 to CAD152,475 (including annual bonus eligibility).
