The Human Resources Administrator is a vital team member who reports directly to the Manager of Human Resources. The position is primarily tasked with maintaining accurate personnel records, supporting staff throughout the employment lifecycle, and ensuring all personnel actions comply with contract terms and applicable legislation.

Qualifications, S kills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of the Human Resources team.
- Completion of post-secondary courses in Human Resources, Business Management, or Administration from a recognized institution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
- Self-directed, task and goal oriented , with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of computer systems and the ability to work in a variety of software applications (e.g., PowerSchool, Atrieve, Apply to Education).
- Knowledge of applicable legislation governing human resources and employment standards.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to all school division operations.
- Strong technical skills to support employees with technical entries and issues.
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands and work under significant pressure while performing meticulous data entry.
Resp onsibilities
- Hiring and Recruitment: Provide leadership to draft job postings, track hiring information, set up interviews, and complete reference checks.
- Onboarding: Lead the preparation, collection, and verification of employee onboarding paperwork and set up new employees in HR databases.
- Employee Benefits: Lead the enrollment and update processes for employee benefit systems and resolve discrepancies with administrators.
- Absence and Leave Management: Process leave documentation, monitor leave balances, and complete paperwork for Long-Term Disability, WCB, and pension plans.
- Database Maintenance: Maintain and update various human resources databases and reports, verifying accurate employee assignments and schedules.
- Legislative Compliance: Work with a team to ensure human resources processes meet audit requirements, division policies, and provincial/federal legislation.
- Contract Administration: Provide support for employment contracts, seniority lists, and other relevant employment documentation.
- Termination Processing: Prepare termination paperwork and submit necessary notifications to third-party providers.
