Lead Barista and Wine Sales Associate at Quails' Gate Winery

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Barista & Wine Sales Associate to support the Market Café leadership team in delivering exceptional guest experiences that reflect the Quails’ Gate standard of excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting day-to-day operations, leading by example, and creating a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Market Café Manager with daily front-of-house operations
• Lead by example during service and help maintain a positive, team-oriented environment
• Assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and daily organization
• Support wine sales by confidently speaking with guests about Quails’ Gate wines and offerings
• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso beverages and café offerings with consistency and care
• Provide warm, polished, and guest-focused service
• Encourage wine knowledge and enthusiasm amongst team members through everyday coaching and support
• Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and food-safe practices throughout the café
• Assist in handling guest questions and concerns in a professional manner
• Step in to support service flow and team coordination when needed

What You Bring

• Previous barista and food service experience; leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
• Passion for hospitality, wine, coffee, and creating memorable guest experiences
• Positive attitude with strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed
• Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications
• Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office programs is considered an asset
