Who You Are And What You'll Do

We are seeking a People & Talent Partner to join our fast-growing People & Talent function at Mappedin. As a generalist with a passion for keeping multiple plates spinning, you will be responsible for owning well-defined processes end-to-end across both recruiting and people operations. This high-ownership role offers a clear path to growth and development, with a People & Talent Partner beside you for support.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. If you are a quick learner, a clear communicator, and detail-obsessed, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Run the recruiting coordination engine, managing intake, scheduling, candidate communication, and interview logistics across several concurrent roles.
  • Own the end-to-end co-op hiring lifecycle for the Mapping team, coordinating with university partners, internal hiring managers, and candidates to ensure a consistent and well-organized experience across every intake cycle.
  • Support sourcing and maintain a healthy top-of-funnel for the roles you own, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing warm, clear, and responsive communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) clean and surface funnel bottlenecks early to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Owning onboarding and the new-hire first-week experience, coordinating across IT, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
  • Administer the employee lifecycle accurately in our HR information system (HRIS), managing status changes, leaves, offboarding, and other personnel activities.
  • Serve as the trusted first stop for everyday employee questions, escalating sensitive matters to the Chief of Staff or other relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, keeping records and compliance items audit-ready at all times.
  • Work directly with the People & Talent Partner and other teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the employee experience.

Skills & Qualification

  • 5+ years of experience in a People/HR, recruiting coordination, or ops-heavy role, or equivalent experience with a strong generalist instinct.
  • Exceptional organization and follow-through skills, with the ability to juggle multiple threads at once.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with candidates and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to trustworthiness when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to modern tooling, such as Deel, Drata, Kula, and Claude.
  • Self-starting and coachable, with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
