Student Assistant - IT - Endpoint & Intune Support at Keyano College
The Opportunity
Keyano College Information Technology Services department is currently looking for a Student Assistant to start immediately and ending on or before August 30, 2026. As the Student Assistant, you will support Intune & Endpoint cleanup of the Information Technology Services (ITS) department at the College. The successful candidate will work alongside ITS team members to ensure services are efficient, documented, and user-friendly.

Duties & Responsibilities
Intune & Endpoint Cleanup Support:
- Assist with assigned Intune cleanup tasks under the direction of a technician or supervisor. The student follows documented instructions, uses provided checklists, and confirms next steps before making changes.
- Help review and organize Intune groups, device assignments, configuration profiles, compliance settings, update rings, and software deployment assignments.
- Identify duplicate, outdated, or inconsistent endpoint management settings and document findings for review by Desktop Services.
- Support testing and validation of Windows 11, Autopilot, device provisioning, and software deployment changes as assigned.
- Assist with reviewing device sync, compliance, failed deployment, and endpoint reporting issues.
- Update tickets, project trackers, cleanup logs, and documentation with completed work, findings, and items that need follow-up.
- Escalate unclear, high-risk, or production-impacting items before changes are made. The student does not make independent production changes without review or approval.
Qualifications
- Must be a current Keyano College student.
- Completion of, or current enrolment in, information technology, computer systems, cybersecurity, cloud administration, business technology, or a related program is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Windows computers, Microsoft 365, and general computer troubleshooting.
- Ability to follow written instructions, checklists, and documented procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing device records, policies, groups, and deployment information.
- Good written communication skills for documenting findings, updates, and follow-up items.
- Able to ask questions, confirm next steps, and work as part of a technical team.
- Must maintain confidentiality and follow ITS security, privacy, and access procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows 11, Autopilot, PowerShell, or Microsoft AZ-104 coursework/certification is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
CUPE Student Rate - $17.54 per hour plus 4%.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time student position. Hours will be scheduled based on ITS project needs, student availability, and supervision availability. Work is expected to occur primarily during regular business hours.
