About the Job
Walker is looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Sales Representative to help grow our Ready Mix and Aggregates business across Grey-Bruce. This is an opportunity to manage an established territory while identifying new opportunities with contractors, builders, municipalities, and developers throughout the region. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working independently, with the support of a strong operations team, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on business growth.
Salary Range: $68,000 to $78,000 based off experience and qualifications + Vehicle Allowance
What You’ll Be Doing
As the face of Walker in the Grey-Bruce market, you will:
- Develop and grow relationships with contractors, builders, municipalities, and commercial customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the territory.
- Prepare quotations and proposals that deliver value to customers while supporting business objectives.
- Work closely with operations and dispatch team to ensure outstanding customer service
- Visit customer sites and construction projects to support their needs and provide solutions
- Monitor local market activity and construction trends.
- Representing Walker at industry events, association meetings, and community functions.
- Provide backup support to inside sales and assist with administrative functions when needed.
- Represent the company at industry events and meetings to stay current on products, pricing, and market trends.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed — because in this industry, flexibility matters.
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of sales, customer service, account management, construction, agricultural, transportation, or related industry experience is preferred
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- A self- starter mentality with the ability to work independently
- Confidence meeting new people and developing business opportunities
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems independently.
- Proficiency in preparing reports, proposals, presentations, and other sales documentation.
- Understanding quality standards in sales and business development.
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
- Professional, tactful, and confident working with colleagues and leadership at all levels.
- Adaptable and comfortable working with diverse personalities and work styles.
- Proactive mindset — you anticipate needs and act.
- A valid G Driver’s License
