Bakery Clerk at Red River Cooperative Ltd.

The Opportunity

Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Bakery Clerk at Selkirk Food Store located at 3477 Pembina Hwy , in Winnipeg , Manitoba . This position reports to the Bakery Manager. The Bakery Clerk adds value to our Co-operative by delivering world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

• Bake and package baked goods including bread, buns, cookies, etc.

• Maintain sections of merchandise (commercial bread, in-store baked product, bulk bins) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Bakery Manager.

• Ensure the Bakery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.

• Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.

• Package baked goods including bread, buns, cookies, etc.

• Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure department image and safety standards are followed.

• Experience working in a retail grocery environment would be an asset.

• Willing to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
