Position: Senior Early Childhood Educator – Full-Time

Location: Current Assignment: Qayqayt Children’s Centre

( at FW Howay Elementary ) – 91 Courtney Crescent, New Westminster

Salary: $30.27/hour (includes $6.00 ECE Wage Enhancement)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

• Current ECE and Infant & Toddler License to practice
• Current First Aid and CPR for Children Certificate
• Required criminal record search
• Doctor’s note attesting candidate is fit to work with young children

Requirements

• Ability to plan and implement an open-ended, age-appropriate curriculum
• Two to three years current work experience in an early childhood environment
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
• Current knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations
• Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour an asset

Specifications

• Six-month probation/trial period
