Job Overview
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. This role ensures that mechanical systems and projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The supervisor leads a team of mechanical technicians while coordinating with engineering, operations, and project management.
Salary Range: $162,006 - $211,519 CAD. The range provided is for contracted hours only. In addition, McDermott offers a competitive total rewards package, including project up-lift and bonuses.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee site services of the project which include temporary construction buildings, waste removal, roads, walkways, barge ramp scheduling, site dewatering, laydowns, site water supply, Floatel services, and general service requests from Owner and Subcontractor(s).
- Planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring that all services and projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate/assist subcontractors to develop Execution Plans as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize project performance, such as reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and environmental requirements and maintain a strong focus on sustainability and ethical practices.
- Coordinate/assist subcontractors to develop and maintain Six-Week Look-Ahead Plans.
- Coordinate/assist Subcontractors prepare Weekly Work Plans .
- Assist subcontractors in implementing the Weekly Work Planning Program.
- Monitor Field activities to ensure compliance with Weekly Work Plans.
- Ensure Six-Week Look-Ahead Plans and Weekly Work Plans continuously address Project Schedule requirements.
- Support Construction Management with Construction Planning, and performance data.
Essential Qualifications and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7 to 15 years of experience in onshore construction and construction services, and maintenance services with a focus on EPCI projects.
- Deep knowledge of EPCI industry practices, procedures, and regulations, particularly in the oil and gas or energy sectors.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage large and complex projects.
