Material Handler at Eaton

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Material Handler. At Eaton’s Perth, Ontario distribution center and manufacturing site, we are a dynamic team of 100+ who work tirelessly to deliver top-notch products and services while prioritizing safety, collaboration and digitization. The hourly rate for this position is $$19 per hour per hour.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do

Primary Function

Various Material Handling functions include but are not limited to; picking, packing, receiving, cycle counting, wrapping pallets, loading and unloading trucks.

Essential Functions/Position Requirements

• Work safely from verbal or written standard work instructions.
• Pick and pack outbound material.
• Receiving, inspecting and putting away material.
• Regular use of computer.
• Use of handheld RF scanners
• Participate in yearly Physical Inventory activities.
• Load and Unload trucks.
• Stretch wraps skids.
• Operator various types of Powered Industrial Equipment (Lift Trucks).
• Perform 5S+ cleanup duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with Eaton’s; Ethical, Harassment, Safety and other policies.

Occupational Health and Safety

• Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and relatable Regulations.
• Comply with Eaton’s Health and Safety policies.

Operational Excellence

• Participate and contribute to Eaton’s Continuous Improvement program.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• No relocation provided.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred qualifications

• 1-year experience with material handling/Warehouse
• Forklift experience.
• Experience with an WMS system, ideally Sterling.
• Experience using RF scanners.
Experience using hand trucks, weigh-counting scales, storage bins and racks, ladders, packing carts, stretch wrapper, pallets, and bar code scanner

Typical Tools/Equipment/Materials

• Powered Industrial Equipment; Reach trucks, hand trucks, etc.
• PC’s, RF scanners.
