What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule- Mon and Fri 0600-1400 Tue, Wed, Thur 0600-1600 hrs

Location- L9T 2X8

Responsibilities For Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems to detect suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, or system malfunctions
• Control access to the facility at the gate, including strict access control for employees, visitors, and trucks
• Conduct truck access control and inspections at the gate
• Perform regular interior and exterior (perimeter) foot patrols to ensure site safety
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or potential threats and escalate when required
• Document all incidents and observations through detailed reports and online reporting systems
• Perform desk duties, including computer use and security documentation
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents or emergencies

Qualifications For Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification required
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
