Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fairview, Sexsmith, and Spirit River. We are a team of 600 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5400 students.

Position Overview

The Library Clerk provides services in the operation of the school Learning Commons with a kind, friendly demeanor. The position mainly provides accurate on-line cataloguing and processing of library resources and materials.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

• Knowledge and/or training in Library classification.
• Computer skills - current library software, Windows, Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Platform, various social media, Smart Boards, Apple products, Chromebooks and other emerging technology.
• Understanding of Google platform.
• Understanding of and able to competently use Social Media platforms for educational purposes.
• Accurately catalogue all library materials for circulation.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Related diploma is preferred
• Library Information technology Diploma
