We need a Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. Our Diagnostic Imaging department continues to grow and evolve, with significant investments over the past two years, including the MRI program, a recently installed digital radiography-fluoroscopy system, and a new CT scanner. We are also building capacity by expanding our mammography services with the addition of two new units, alongside several other ongoing improvement initiatives.

As the successful applicants, you will do the following:
- Observe all aspects of personnel/patient safety protection regarding ionizing radiation.
- Deliver an efficient, caring, co-operative and highly credible service in Imaging
- Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, skill and ingenuity to produce quality images.
- Review and document patient medical history as it relates to performing exam.
- Assess the diagnostic quality of individual studies and determine any necessary corrective measures if repeat or additional views are required to complete the examination.
- Performs all quality control practices to comply with equipment maintenance and HARP regulations.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and log errors or equipment concerns. Report immediately any problems with the equipment to the Senior Technologist or manager. Arrange for service as required.
- Perform clerical duties in the absence of clerical staff or as required.
What You’ll Bring
Required
- Graduate of recognized school of Radiography
- Active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred
- Experience in a bi-modality or multi-modality imaging environment
- Additional modality education and/or clinical experience in CT, Mammography, and/or Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
- CT education including sectional anatomy, pathology, and contrast injection certification considered an asset
- Mammography certification/continuing education aligned with CAR accreditation standards considered an asset
- BMD certification or related education considered an asset
- Experience with Meditech Expanse considered an asset
