The Welder will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities and sites. The Welder will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Hours Of Work
- Monday to Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 - 3:30 pm
- Some weekends as required
Compensation: $30.40 - $32.40 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Use hand/power tools to prepare various types of materials for the welding process;
- Manually weld, incorporating various techniques/positions: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW),
- Cut materials using Oxy Acetylene Torch
- Complete custom fabrication projects as assigned
- Air arc gouging
- Welding maintenance on production equipment
- Forklift operation as required;
- Rigging and use of overhead crane as required
- Conduct assessment on machinery, storage containers, etc.
- Complete repairs where needed
- Relay concerns to proper channels (Supervisor, H&S rep, etc.)
- Able to work outdoors in all seasons
- CWB Certified ship – SMAW/FCAW
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Fitting experience
- Valid Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Certification
- Nice to have: Valid forklift license and knowledge of small construction equipment.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading
- Work experience with rigging
- Proven ability to be a solution-oriented individual who can work both independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
