General Description
At the division level, the Field Recruiter partners with local hiring managers to assess, evaluate, and support hiring needs. This role works closely with the Recruitment Manager and Division Vice Presidents to address recruitment priorities and provide regular updates.
Success in this role is driven by building strong relationships across Region, Division, and District teams, while communicating in a timely and effective manner.
The Field Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and screening candidates for active roles, while proactively building a talent pool of future talent aligned with our operational values and corporate culture.
As a Field Recruiter with us, the minimum responsibilities are:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience
- Partner with hiring managers to support workforce planning and develop strategic hiring plans
- Source, screen, and maintain a strong talent pool of candidates for current and future hiring needs
- Build and execute creative recruitment strategies to promote our brand, culture, and opportunities
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and salary benchmarks to guide hiring decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with passive candidates, educational institutions, and industry networks
- Collaborate with Districts to develop innovative solutions for hard-to-fill roles
- Support the Recruitment Team by sharing candidate talent pools, assisting with sourcing efforts, and contributing to team initiatives as needed
- Participate in and lead recruitment-related projects, driving continuous improvement in processes and strategies
- Use recruitment metrics and analytics to evaluate and enhance hiring effectiveness
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality
- Provide consistent updates to hiring managers and manage expectations throughout the recruitment process
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and collaborate with the team to drive efficiency
- Travel to District locations as required
What We Need From You
- 4+ years of high-volume recruiting experience in a professional environment using an ATS
- Experience in industrial, logistics, or transportation recruitment is an asset
- Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., Workday) and CRM tools
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel to various districts/regions
