We have an exciting career opportunity for a talented hospitality professional with a passion for quality and hospitality. Tasks and Areas of Responsibility

• Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.
• Inspects guest rooms and public areas

o Rooms – daily (minimum req. to be established)

o Public Areas – a quick visual each shift, a formal / thorough inspection by-weekly at each property

• Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
• Submit Maintenance Requests (Work Orders) in a timely manner for any deficiencies in the guest rooms or public areas
• Communicate effectively with Front Desk to ensure that rooms are cleaned
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Shifts vary; include weekdays, weekends and holidays. They may be required to push, pull and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications

Required

• Able to communicate clearly in English – orally and written and effectively communicate with guests and associates.
• Provide feedback regarding Room Attendants and Custodial staff in a professional and timely manner that assists in maintain exceptional cleanliness in all areas of the hotel to the supervisor.
• Comfortable using web based programs
• Independent, able to manage time effectively

Assets

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience cleaning guest rooms in a hotel or resident building
• Current First Aid & CPR

• Actively seek opportunities to improve overall guest satisfaction and share the knowledge and ideas with the Housekeeping Team
• Actively participate in the Health and Safety Program
• Actively participate in the monthly Housekeeping Department meetings
• Communicate effectively and in a timely and efficient manner with the Executive Housekeeper and the Front Desk Supervisors
