Security Operations Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build the next generation of AI systems that reason through real-world security incidents. As a Security Operations Analyst, your hands-on SOC experience will directly shape how AI detects, investigates, and responds to threats — making enterprise security AI smarter and more aligned with how analysts actually work.

This is a unique opportunity to go beyond the day-to-day grind of traditional security work and contribute to something that will influence the future of cybersecurity.

  • Organization: Alignerr

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — alerts, incidents, and investigation workflows — to assess what's happening and why it matters
  • Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated detection logic and investigation outputs for accuracy and real-world alignment
  • Validate AI responses against how experienced analysts actually triage and respond to threats
  • Distinguish genuine security signals from noise and false positives to help AI learn the difference
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI model quality

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role
  • Solid familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert triage, and end-to-end investigation workflows
  • Strong ability to separate true positives from false positives and articulate your reasoning clearly
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to analysis
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required — your security expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat hunting, SOAR platforms, or detection engineering
  • Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST
  • Background in blue team operations or security engineering

  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that shapes the future of AI-powered security
