Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to define solution features and functionality.
  • Design and engineer desktop solutions and COTS integrations for Windows environments.
  • Integrate, test, deploy, and maintain desktop applications and software packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop software issues across production and non-production environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, design, build, and support procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to established application lifecycle methodologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Apply desktop integration and software packaging standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, integrators, testers, and project managers.
  • Support and maintain virtual desktop environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VirtualBox) for development and testing.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimations, and technical design discussions.
  • Deliver stakeholder demos and provide technical guidance as required.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to project and management teams.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience as a Technology Architect.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate Windows desktop environments, including support for Windows OS and/or COTS.
  • 8+ years of experience developing technical documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience scripting with PowerShell (v4.x or v5.x).
  • 10+ years of experience resolving complex software installation and integration issues, including coexistence and conflict resolution.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Windows desktop upgrade project, in a technical role, supporting Windows OS and/or COTS, including design, integration, issue resolution, documentation, and testing.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating, upgrading, and patching desktop COTS software in a corporate Windows environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory GPOs in a corporate Windows environment, including design, development, integration, documentation, testing, and implementation.
  • 5+ years of experience applying IT change management practices.
  • 5+ years of experience preparing and testing desktop software deployments using ConfigMan (SCCM 2012 or later).
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, integrating, or engineering VMware, Oracle VirtualBox, and/or Hyper-V solutions in a corporate environment.
  • 6+ months of experience configuring or integrating COTS with Windows desktop environments in a corporate setting.
  • Valid ITIL certification.
