Operations Coordinator at Matrox Central Services Inc

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emails and calls from employees regarding the building and security and follow up with them once their request has been completed;
  • Delegate and assign tasks to members within the Building Operations and Security Department
  • Manage equipment on-loan to employees and other companies;
  • Coordinate the fire response teams within Matrox;
  • Liaison between Matrox and outsourcing companies for evacuation procedures;
  • Write business communications on behalf of the department in both English and French;
  • Create and update forms and manuals;
  • Generate and tabulate spreadsheets;
  • Data entry and update databases;
  • Coordinate and schedule trainings to maintain specialty certifications such as First Aid and Forklift Certificates;
  • Oversee new employee safety procedures for emergency situations;
  • Overseeing ergonomics for employees with medical files and update ergonomic registries;
  • Maintain vehicle certifications and registrations;
  • Carry out general office tasks and administrative tasks related to building maintenance.

Qualifications

  • A DEC, DEP or AEC Diploma in Office Systems Management, Business Management or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Ability to prioritize based on urgency and manage multiple tasks;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and French;
  • Building operations and maintenance knowledge would be an asset.
