Senior Analyst, Claims (Data Management) at Metrolinx
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Commercial Management Office is hiring a Senior Analyst, Claims (Data Management).
This role will represent business requirements to internal stakeholders and stay involved during deployment to identify efficient and cost-effective changes, incorporating data-driven and AI-enabled approaches from software, data, and engineering disciplines to optimize system functionality by tracking performance and mitigating implementation risks on significant commercial infrastructure projects.
What will I be doing?
Develops a thorough understanding of the business goals, practices, and processes to translate into system functionality and user-requirements that define project scope and specifications.
Translates high-level, conceptual business strategies and objectives into user-requirements to streamline commercial management workflows and processes.
In partnership with people leaders, develop strategies for the implementation of AI-based technologies for claims, variations, and early warnings management.
Design and implement automated claims, variations, and early warnings reporting based on data management frameworks that aggregate inputs from correspondences (emails), SharePoint, and Unifier, ensuring data integrity and consistency using AI.
Investigates business office functions and processes and proposes improvements to business leaders to automate business functions and make best use of technology to improve effectiveness and customer-service experience.
Works with the business leaders and users to develop key business metrics and performance measures to gauge effectiveness of tools relative to business strategies and goals.
Identifies and facilitates development of documentation for new and modified business policies and procedures (e.g. standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows) to ensure effective implementation of technological solutions.
Leads the business office in systems testing and identify gaps, making recommendations for problem resolution and clarifying range of functions.
Facilitates, leads, and participates in change efforts and provides expert technical support and opinions relating to the viability of alternative solutions
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
Education: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
Demonstrated experience in data analytics and reporting, including working knowledge of process automation and AI integration tools for application in construction management related workflows and processes.
Strong proficiency in data analytics, with hands-on experience in AI agent development, with application in commercial or project management contexts.
Proficiency in Python, knowledge of RAG architecture, and related frameworks for the development of Agentic AI applications.
Experience leading teams to successfully deploy technology solutions in transport or construction industry is an asset.
Experience with computerized quantitative and analytical tools (e.g., data modeling, workflows, and business process analysis) and with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Unifier, Project, etc.)
Interpersonal, oral/written/presentation communications skills to document and present business needs, specifications, reports, project documents, and implementation plans.
