What We Need

We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Human Resources professional who is passionate about partnering with leaders to deliver people-focused solutions that support organizational goals. As a trusted advisor, the Senior HR Business Partner provides expert guidance on workforce planning, employee and labour relations, performance management, organizational change, talent development, engagement, and workplace culture.

The successful candidate brings a consultative approach, strong business acumen, and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization. You thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment and are comfortable balancing operational priorities with strategic Human Resources initiatives while supporting leaders through change and driving organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to provide strategic Human Resources advice and solutions that support operational priorities, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on employee and labour relations matters, including performance management, attendance management, workplace conflict, accommodations, collective agreement interpretation, and employment legislation.
  • Support talent management initiatives, including employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and workforce capability planning.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives by providing change management expertise, workforce impact assessments, and implementation support.
  • Analyze workforce trends and people metrics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources partners and subject matter experts to deliver integrated, consistent, and high-quality HR services.
  • Support disability management and return-to-work programs while promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, collective agreements, organizational policies, and Human Resources best practices.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a complex, unionized healthcare, public sector, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Human Resources Business Partner, strategic HR advisor, or internal consultant.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, labour relations principles, collective agreement environments, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning, organizational change, employee engagement, attendance management, leadership coaching, and performance management.
  • Exceptional consulting, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience interpreting workforce metrics and translating insights into action.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of professionalism, judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office applications, and workforce reporting tools; experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
