École McTavish High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Grade 7-12 Culinary Arts Teacher.

Requirements: The ideal candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree as well as Bachelor of Education.

Desired Qualifications/Skills: It will be an asset to have:

  • Previous knowledge and experience in Foods Studies and culinary programming, including food safety and kitchen management.
  • The ability to work in a team environment, knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
  • Effective organization skills and strong classroom management.
  • In addition, the ability to utilize technology as an instructional tool.
  • An ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans for special needs students.
  • A willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom.
  • An interest in supporting a wide variety of CTS and elective opportunities.
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth, and a strong ability to connect and build relationships with junior and senior high school students.
