Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties

An examination of the occupational, professional and organizational structures and processes of media production in the press, radio, television and digital media. Topics include news gathering, radio and TV production practices and media management.

Three hours; one term

Required Qualifications

Professional and educational background in the field, plus experience in classroom teaching. Applicants should have a PhD or be near completion of a PhD in Communication Studies or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience in communication or media studies/arts is preferred.
