Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping
• Implement a Reggio Emilia approach to learning
• Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Conduct attendance and health & safety checks
• Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists
• Assist children through classroom transitions
• Participate in team meetings and professional development workshops

Specifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use computer systems for documentation and classroom operations
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated initiative both inside and outside the classroom

Qualifications

• Valid British Columbia ECE License
• Criminal Record Check
• Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR
• Up-to-date immunizations
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs
