Job Purpose
Safely maximize production of quality OSB in an efficient manner by assisting in operating and monitoring the Energy System under the guidance of the Energy Operator.
In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as strainer/filter changes, equipment greasing, equipment blow down, etc.
- Assist in the proper lock out and isolation of equipment to zero energy under the guidance of the Energy Operator.
- Maintain house keeping of the Energy, Drying, and WESP System areas.
- Completely and accurately fill out all required reports and log book.
- Gather specific data for monitoring, trending, documenting and reporting for the Energy, Drying, and WESP systems.
- Relieve the Energy Operator as required.
- Provide input that would improve safety, environmental, quality, production and maintenance performance in the Energy, Drying, and WESP systems.
- Participate in the development of SOP’s, JSA’s, and Lockout Procedures.
- Perform safe start up and shut down of equipment.
- Able to physically lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to climb stairs while carrying heavy items
- Able to work in a hot environment

- Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Willing to be trained to perform various operations positions
- Willing to work various shifts as scheduled on a weekly basis and be available for additional work as the need arises.
- Interested in progressing into full time operations positions and work up through the lines of progression as openings arise.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 Years’ Industrial Experience will be considered an asset
Education
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- 4th class power engineering certification.
Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment.
Compensation Data
$38.49 - $44.68 / hour
