Job Description

• Facilitate sales and rentals to schools and educational institutions
• Act as a liaison between the Long & McQuade store and schools in the surrounding area
• Ensure schools receive timely delivery of products and services
• Actively pursue new opportunities within current accounts and from potential new customers
• Ensure accounts are kept current and paperwork is filed accurately and on time
• Work to provide sales opportunities to students both in school and at the store
• Maintain an in-depth, diverse, and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
• Good understanding of band instruments (i.e. brass, woodwind, and orchestral strings)
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough organizational skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and steady composure
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to lift and carry large boxes
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to resolution
• Valid driver's license
• Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset
• Previous experience working with schools or institutions is an asset
