Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior SEO & AI Engine Optimization Lead who is equally fluent in classical organic search and the emerging world of AI-driven search visibility including how platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Claude surface and rank service providers. You will own 247 Labs’ entire organic search and AI discoverability strategy, execute hands-on technical and content SEO across our WordPress presence, and build the team and systems needed to scale this function into a revenue-generating department. The right candidate is senior, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven. You understand that SEO is not just about Google, it is about being found, cited, and recommended wherever buyers are searching, including inside AI platforms, and you know how to make that happen.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Own and lead the full organic search strategy for 247 Labs and its clients
- Create landing pages on regular basis that help with SEO internal linking and conversions of visitors to leads.
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and implement fixes directly on WordPress
- Develop and execute on-page, off-page, and technical SEO programmes that drive qualified traffic and leads
- Build and maintain keyword strategies aligned with service-based B2B buyer intent across North America
- Monitor, analyse, and report on organic performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and GA4
- Deliver a monthly executive SEO report summarizing traffic growth, lead generation, keyword performance, technical improvements, content performance, and ROI.
- Lead weekly SEO review meetings with management to discuss progress, blockers, opportunities, and next steps.
AI Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Develop and implement strategies to improve 247 Labs’ visibility and citation within AI platforms including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Claude
- Stay ahead of how large language models index, surface, and recommend service providers
- Adapt content and authority-building strategies to align with how AI search platforms evaluate credibility and relevance
- Position 247 Labs as a recommended and cited source within AI-assisted discovery journeys
WordPress & Technical Execution
- Implement SEO changes directly within WordPress — no hand-off to developers for routine optimisations
- Manage site architecture, internal linking, page speed, schema markup, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals
- Ensure all landing pages, service pages, and blog content are technically optimised and conversion-ready
Content & Authority Building
- Guide content strategy and editorial direction to support both Google and AI search visibility
- Oversee link-building and digital PR efforts to grow domain authority
- Develop thought leadership content strategies that increase brand citation across the web and within AI-generated responses
Leadership
- Establish processes, reporting frameworks, and performance standards for the department
- Identify and present opportunities to expand SEO services to 247 Labs’ existing and prospective clients
- Act as the internal expert and advocate for organic and AI search across the business
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on SEO experience, with a strong focus on service-based businesses, digital agencies, or professional services firms
- Demonstrated experience with AI Engine Optimization and a working understanding of how LLM platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Claude) surface and rank content and service providers
- Proven track record of driving measurable organic growth — qualified traffic, lead volume, and pipeline contribution
- Deep technical SEO expertise including WordPress implementation, schema, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, and crawl management
- Strong command of SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and equivalent platforms
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English — written and verbal — to a professional business standard
- Commercially minded with an understanding of how organic search contributes to revenue, not just rankings
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable with data, attribution, and building performance reports for leadership
- Able to work independently and make confident decisions with minimal oversight
- Performs well under pressure and in a fast-moving environment
- A natural leader who can build and grow a team around them
- Comfortable on camera — video calls are a standard part of how we work
Additional Information
Compensation
- Base salary commensurate with experience
- Performance-based commission tied to measurable organic growth, lead generation, and department revenue contribution
- Specific compensation will be discussed based on candidate profile and location.
Location & Availability
- Fully remote, global candidates welcome
- Due to client and team time zone requirements, candidates must be located no further east than Oman (GMT+4). Candidates based in the UAE, Oman, East Africa, Europe, or the Americas are encouraged to apply
- Must be available and online until at least 2:00 PM EST on standard working days
- Full-time preferred; exceptional part-time candidates will be considered
Work Eligibility
