Lab Technician, Processing Facilities at GFL Environmental

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine sample preparation and analysis using ICP, GC ECD, Bomb Calorimeter, Auto Titrator and Karl-Fischer

• Sample drums and perform compatibility testing and analysis

• Report analytical results and coordinate with production personnel

• Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records

• Assist other facility operators as needed

• Perform general laboratory and facility housekeeping duties

• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Key Competencies:

• Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related Diploma

• Previous lab experience is an asset

• Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office)

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment

• Must be safety conscious and detail oriented

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to follow procedures and work with minimum supervision

• Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts and occasional weekends.
