We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated People & Culture Business Partner to join our team for approximately 18 months to provide temporary coverage for a maternity leave.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture Services, the People and Culture Business Partner works in a client-group based model to provide guidance and advice at all levels of the organization on all aspects of human resources, including: employee and labour relations matters; disability case management; people and resource planning, organizational design, recruitment, change management, job evaluation processes, interpreting and applying collective agreements and HR policies and legislation, and various related projects and initiatives.
In this role, you will find creative, dynamic and innovative ways to resolve problems while concurrently considering past practices, best practices, and the interests of involved parties. You are a strong coach and use your coaching skills to develop people leadership capabilities. You are known for your strong work ethic, superior communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities and your demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple and competing demands. The ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team is critical to success in this position.
Requirements
You will have completed a degree in human resources or a related field, and have three to five years recent experience as a People & Culture or Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist/Advisor within a unionised environment, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. A CPHR designation and municipal experience is an asset, as is experience working with Microsoft Office, a Human Capital Management System (we use PeopleSoft), an Applicant Tracking System and a Records Management System.
Compensation
We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is $116,568.00-$135,876.00.
