The Account Specialist maintains the relationship between the customer and the company and strives to build new business wherever possible. In addition, they deliver sales techniques and tools designed to assist the sales team in prospecting new business and developing customers.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Develop sales strategies, sales plans, and forecasts, and maintain sales funnel.
  • Initiate and foster business relationships with a small number of existing clients and prospective new business.
  • Manage opportunities through the sales cycle and close new business to increase revenue.
  • Research accounts, generate and follow through on sales leads.
  • Follow up on leads to create sales opportunities.
  • Upsell and cross-sell to maximize each sales opportunity.
  • Support business development and sales by collaborating with customers to determine their technical and business requirements.
  • Expand sales opportunities and identify opportunities for new business.
  • Identify sales trends and whitespaces when possible and provide management with updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities and offer solutions that align with their needs.
  • Collaborate with internal team to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful delivery of products/services with realized and documented customer value.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our solutions offering in order to help customers within assigned territory.
  • Propose, design, and present technical solutions within specific areas of expertise that address the business and technical requirements of customers.
  • Provide technical and sales support for accounts in an assigned industry and/or territory.
  • Provide technical sales support for account managers and inside sales on assigned products and services.

Essential Skills And Qualifications To Be Successful

  • DEC in Engineering Technologies or Bachelor of Engineering or Commerce (or equivalent experience)
  • Good knowledge of industrial processes.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance best practices within industrial plants.
  • A well-developed sense of the customer’s business, their drivers, and their operations.
  • Dives for result and demonstrate persistence in front of obstacles.
  • Good knowledge of local competitors’ solutions, value propositions, and market strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years' industrial sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.

WORK LOCATION: Kirkland, Quebec - travel required
