The Opportunity

As a valued member of the St. John¿s Region, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing a team of metering technicians and administration staff. Some key responsibilities are:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of metering technicians and administrative staff while overseeing the Company¿s revenue metering activities to ensure compliance with Measurement Canada.
  • Supervising the day to day operations and workforce planning of the metering team.
  • Development and compliance of company metering standards and processes.
  • Management of the Company¿s metering equipment inventories.
  • Providing input as required for capital and operating expenditures.
  • Liaise with other internal and external groups on revenue metering technical matters.
  • Interaction with customers, contractors, and engineering consultants regarding new and upgraded metering installations.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor¿s degree in Engineering or a diploma in Engineering Technology or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5 years¿ relevant utility experience involving Measurement Canada compliance, revenue metering, utility operations, customer service, resource management, and inventory management
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • A passion for quality customer service combined with strong people management, communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong leadership and technical skills, combined with a keen attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
