Transition Lead at Midland Transport
Midland Transport is currently seeking a Transition Lead in Dieppe, NB. The Transition Lead is a leadership role in the Transformation Program, responsible for leading the end‑to‑end deployment and rollout strategy across the terminal network. This role ensures the successful transition from Build to Deploy by defining and executing a structured, repeatable deployment model that enables consistent, operationally ready rollouts across Operations.
The Transition Lead ensures deployment activities are executed with discipline, operational rigor, and minimal disruption to the business. They are responsible for terminal readiness across people, process, data, and technology dimensions, and for driving go‑live, hypercare, stabilization, and value realization through embedded process and daily management.
This role partners closely with the Program Manager, Product Owners, Change Management, Training, and Operations stakeholders to align deployment execution with program priorities, governance milestones, and business outcomes—ensuring each wave delivers measurable value.

- Own end‑to‑end deployment strategy, including terminal sequencing, wave planning, scaling, and readiness criteria.
- Lead rollout execution across terminals, coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver on schedule with minimal disruption.
- Build and manage a team of Transition Leads, ensuring accountability and consistent delivery across waves.
- Ensure terminal readiness across people, process, data, and technology prior to go‑live.
- Align rollout execution with program priorities, milestones, and resource plans in partnership with program leadership.
- Oversee go‑live, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization to ensure smooth transition to steady-state operations.
- Track adoption, risks, and performance metrics, providing clear reporting to leadership and governance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8-10+ years of experience in transformation delivery, large-scale rollout execution, or operational deployment within complex, multi-site environments.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Scrum certification (Scrum Master or Product Owner)
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt considered an asset.
- Proven experience leading multi-wave deployment strategies and managing teams of leads or coordinators across distributed locations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage go-live, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization activities while maintaining operational continuity
- Experience working with Agile, hybrid, or phased delivery models in enterprise transformation programs
- Experience in the Transportation industry.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build, coach and hold accountable a team of deployment leads across multiple workstreams.
Strong analytical skills with an evidence-based approach to readiness assessment, risk management, and deployment decision-making.
