Informations

The foreman or forewoman works under the supervision of the warehouse and logistics manager. The selected person supervises the store and warehouse team, ensures proper planning, and organizes the work of their team members.

Responsabilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead the work team;
  • Ensure that health and safety procedures and instructions are followed and understood by all employees under their charge;
  • Collaborate on warehouse and store improvement projects;
  • Collaborate on inventory control and order and purchase tracking;
  • Coordinate the logistics activities of transporting equipment within Canada and internationally;
  • Manage the export processes of equipment to the international market;
  • Ensure the quality of finished products before delivery to internal and/or external clients;
  • Manage and train team employees on work methods;
  • Resolve problems, determine priorities, and recommend measures to increase productivity;
  • Manage the maintenance and purchase of tools or equipment for their team;
  • Ensure the compliance and maintenance of equipment (pallets and pallet racks);
  • Ensure sound management of human resources;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Training And Experience

  • Holding a professional or college diploma and/or relevant experience in personnel supervision in the field of logistics and warehousing. A minimum of three (3) years of experience is required.

Technical Requirements

  • Health and safety management at work;
  • Inventory management;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
  • Mastery of French, both spoken and written;
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of English (both spoken and written) to communicate (approximately 20 % of the time) with our Canadian subsidiaries;
  • Knowledge of Great Plains software;
  • Knowledge of any other inventory management system (asset).
