PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (80%) TEMPORARY SPECIAL PROJECT
Optimization of Administrative Processes
This temporary part-time position is for a one-year special project from August 31, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
NATURE OF WORK
The position of Project Development Officer involves responsibility for the analysis, optimization, and improvement of administrative and financial processes across the organization. The incumbent will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, streamlining workflows, and supporting evidence-based decision-making.
Working collaboratively with internal departments and external partners, the Project Development Officer will plan, coordinate, and implement an action plan focused on administrative process optimization, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and best practices in business administration and financial management.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The Project Development Officer will be called upon to:
- Analyze current administrative and financial processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Lead and coordinate process optimization initiatives across departments
- Develop, implement, and monitor action plans aimed at improving operational efficiency and service delivery
- Support departments in adopting improved administrative practices and tools
- Ensure knowledge transfer and promote best practices in business administration and financial processes
- Recommend and implement process standardization and performance measurement frameworks
- Facilitate collaboration and networking among internal stakeholders to support change management efforts
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to track progress and inform decision-making
- Participate in committees and working groups related to administrative improvement and organizational effectiveness
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff to support the implementation of optimized processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in business administration, financial management, or process optimization
- Demonstrated expertise in process analysis, continuous improvement, or organizational efficiency initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken French and English
- Proficiency with information and communication technologies, including data analysis and collaborative tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of initiative, autonomy, and professionalism
- Experience in the public or education sector (asset)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field (Considered a strong asset)
SALARY: $56,670.00 to $100,410.00 annually, according to qualifications and experience.
