Job Posting- Security Guard Position, Fredericton, NB

Commissionaires NB&PEI Division is looking to hire mature and responsible team members in Fredericton, NB to work in government facilities and commercial sites.

Hours: 12-hour shifts-Days, Nights, and Weekends- Sometimes on short notice

Rate of Pay: $18.00 to $19.75 per hour

The Role: The Security Guard is responsible for enforcing established rules and regulations to ensure the protection of people, property, and information on the worksite.

We are seeking candidates with

• Physical fitness to perform interior and exterior rounds (including stairs) of the property, may also require standing or sitting for extended periods of time and the ability to respond to emergency situations

• Professional/strong communication and dispute resolution skills

• A positive, proactive, problem-solving approach to tasks

• Ability to complete incidents and daily reports

• Customer service experience with a clean, neat, uniform appearance

• Completion of High school or equivalent

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract

The successful candidate must be able to

• Maintain high levels of confidentiality with a positive attitude

• Demonstrate sound judgement in addressing conflict situations

• Respond and help in emergency situations

• Able to acquire and maintain all necessary Security Clearances

• Complete all online and in-person training requirements

Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset but is not a requirement for the position.
