Permanent Educational Assistants at Durham Catholic District School Board

DCDSB invites qualified Educational Assistants (EA) to apply for Permanent EA employment opportunities effective September 2, 2026.

Applicants require the following qualifications:

• Two or three year diploma from a recognized Community College in an area related to Special Education or a Bachelor or Arts degree.
• Ability to work with children including a wide variety of students with Special Needs.
• Support the Gospel values and philosophy of Inclusion
• Three to Six months previous related experience and/or job placement.

Preferred but not required qualifications include:

• UMAB and/or CPI and/or NVCI qualification
• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Autism Behaviour (ABA)
• Assistive Technology Software
• Augmentative Communication
• Safe Back Care or Lifting Ambulation

Applications must include resume and cover letter referring to educational and related field experience, Criminal Reference Check (within 6 months), evaluations (at least 2), professional references (3) any other information supporting your application.
