Casual Employment - Patron Services Team Lead at Keyano College

The Opportunity

Keyano Theatre is currently seeking Patron Service Team Leads. Reporting to the General Manager, Theatre and Arts Centre, this position is responsible for Front of House Operations including volunteer coordination, merchandise sales, and various client services. Additionally, this position will function as a Box Office Clerk: selling tickets, managing an effective database, and providing excellent customer services.

Note: This is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, so you will be required to work on campus and be available in Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide box office services

o Sell, exchange or distribute tickets to performances as needed

o Track and record sales using specialized software systems

o Use cash and Point of Sales equipment to conduct sales

o Maintain appropriate cash handling procedures

o Answer phone and email questions regarding ticket sales

o Data entry for various theatre tracking and reporting needs

o Provide excellent customer service to all our patrons

• Provide Front of House services

o Greet, train and supervise volunteers in their roles as ushers, ticket takers, merchandise sellers and other positions related to the patron experience

o Lead the audience and volunteers through safety steps during any emergency needs

o Set up tables, chairs and similar equipment as needed by special events

o Ensure the lobby and seating area remains clean and safe throughout the patron’s visit

o Monitor crowds and adjust as needed for the best patron experience

o Provide excellent customer service to all our patrons

• Provide bar sales and service

o Provide oversight to bar sales by ensuring AGLC requirements are followed

o Sales and cash handling with both POS and cash floats

o Do inventory counts of bar stock and merchandise as needed before and after sales

o Maintain service quality and quantity through peak times of preshow and intermission rushes

o General cleaning and maintenance of the bar area

Qualifications

• Minimum Secondary School Graduation or Grade 12 Diploma
• AGLC ProServe Certification

Compensation and Benefits

• CUPE Hourly Wage - $25.65 (SW2) Casual Rate
