About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, high-performing content leader to take the wheel of our short-form ecosystem and scale our audience to new heights. In this senior-level role, you will work directly alongside a high-profile founder to shape the brand's social media presence across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. This position is built for a strategic content leader who masterfully understands social media trends, audience psychology, and platform growth. Because directing live talent is a core pillar of this role, your inspiring, collaborative presence is required on-site at our Kelowna headquarters. Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy & Growth: Own and lead the short-form content strategy across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms to maximize reach, engagement, shares, saves, and follower growth.
- Content Capture & Production: Plan and direct short-form content during in-person filming sessions with the founder, identifying real-time opportunities and crafting compelling hooks and storytelling structures.
- Trend Innovation: Monitor platform trends, cultural conversations, and algorithm changes to quickly capitalize on viral opportunities while maintaining brand alignment.
- Analytics & Optimization: Track and analyze key metrics (watch time, retention, engagement) to continuously refine the strategy and evolve our short-form content playbook.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Head of Long-Form Content to repurpose long-form assets and collaborate with marketing and production teams to build scalable content systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in social media, content strategy, digital media, or a related field.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success growing social media audiences specifically through platform-native short-form content (Instagram/TikTok).
- Technical & Direction Skills: Hands-on proficiency with short-form editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and experience directing on-camera talent in fast-paced live environments.
- Strategic Instincts: Deep understanding of audience psychology, trend identification, hook creation, and social media analytics tools.
- Execution & Communication: Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, strong project management skills, and professional-level English communication.
- Location: Ability and willingness to work on-site full-time in Kelowna, British Columbia (or relocate to the area).
Required Skills
- Personal experience building and growing your own social media audience or personal brand.
- Experience managing content strategies across multiple major platforms simultaneously.
- Background in entrepreneurship, SaaS, business education, coaching, or creator-focused industries.
- Knowledge of paid social advertising and organic-to-paid content amplification strategies.
- Experience leading content teams, freelancers, or creative contractors.
