RECE or TA-Kinder and School Age Programs-Pembroke at Leaps & Bounds Children's Centre

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior and Renfrew and 2 new centres opening in Pembroke. The Explorers' Treehouse location is based out of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School on Irving Street in Pembroke, offering kindergarten and school age programs.

We require 2 Permanent Registered Early Childhood Educators or Teacher Assistants (one for the Kinder Program and one for the School Age Program) beginning around July 20th (date TBD) working approximately 37.5-40 hours per week, 7.5-8 hours a day. The rate of pay ranges from $19.73 to $23.52 per hour plus 4% holiday pay, dependent on qualifications. These hours have the ability to qualify for $2.00/hour WEG (Wage Enhancement Grant) as well and CWELCC top-up.

Requirements

For these newly created positions, ADCCS requires:

• Registered with the College of ECE if you apply for an RECE position
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)

Recommended

• Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH

Considered An Asset

• Experience with children in a licensed childcare centre
• Experience with children with special needs
• Child centered educational background (RECE, DSW, etc)
