A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a CTPAT Coordinator / Junior Buyer to support purchasing activities while managing the division’s CTPAT security program.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise across procurement, supplier management, and trade compliance within a global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders according to company procedures
  • Support RFQs, supplier comparisons, and cost analysis activities
  • Track supplier deliveries and assist with issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate supplier pricing and purchasing records
  • Support inventory monitoring and production requirements
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program teams

CTPAT Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary CTPAT program contact for the division
  • Maintain and support implementation of security program requirements
  • Ensure compliance with CBP minimum security criteria
  • Coordinate internal audits and maintain required documentation
  • Manage CTPAT portal updates and reporting requirements
  • Support communication between division teams and corporate trade compliance
  • Identify and escalate risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 1–3 years purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
  • Manufacturing or automotive experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Understanding of BOMs, supplier processes, and production environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Experience with RFQs, supplier quoting, and cost breakdowns
  • Exposure to trade compliance or CTPAT requirements
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to supplier locations
